PRS Custom 24 20th Anniversary "10" Top - This is a beautiful and outstanding 2005 instrument. The finest materials and workmanship go into the PRS Custom Series and this Custom 24 is no exception. The "10" top refers to the highest grade of quilted maple that is carved to create the beautiful top. The back of the body is mahogany. The "Birds in Flight" inlay on the rosewood fretboard is unique to the 20th anniversary series. The truss rod cover has "20th" on it to signify that this is a 20th Anniversary edition. It has the 5 position pickup knob. All original, Beautiful to look at and it just plays like butter. Comes in the original fitted PRS hardshell case. With the original hangtag noting the specifics of the instrument. $2750
Fender Jimmy Page Tele- As excited as I was to attend the "Play it loud" show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, I was just as excited to find that the show had commissioned Fender to do a replica of Jimmy Page's Dragon Telecaster. Couldn't pass it up and had to add one to my inventory. Since purchase, I have consulted my Led Zeppelin book and sure enough there's photos of Jimmy playing the guitar in the late days of the Yardbirds and the early days of Led Zeppelin. When Jimmy Page left the Yardbirds, he recommended to the group that Jeff Beck would be a suitable replacement for him. To show his appreciation, Jeff Beck gave Jimmy Page the '59 Ash Blonde Fender Telecaster. Jimmy liked to decorate his instruments and he first covered covered his Tele with small round mirrors. Later he removed the mirrors, stripped off the finish and then created and executed the Dragon paintwork. Long story short, it's a very cool instrument cloning a very historically importnt instrument. It comes in a very fancy Fender hardshell case with all sorts of case candy. There's a coiled white cord and a reddish seatbelt fabric strap. This is not the handmade Custom shop version. It is the production line, made in Mexico version. Priced at $1675.
Gibson SG- I had a hankering for an SG and looked high and low for the one that fit the picture that was in my mind of what it should be. While picking up a guitar that was being repaired at Seuf's Repair in Independence, MO, I spotted this one hanging on the wall and it struck me that this was exactly the SG as I pictured it. Like the essence of SG!. Turns out that it was on consignment and the seller was none other than Mike, the master repairman at Seuf's. It appears that Mike put some fancy pickups in it; there's a Seymour Duncan in the bridge position. I don't know much about Gibson Sg's. I only know that this one, to me, is the real deal. The setup is perfect and it plays like a dream. I am not much of an electric guitar player. But, a friend of mine who is a very good electric guitar player put it through it's paces. Best I could tell, it performed up to his expectations, which are pretty high. I just sat there and admired his artistry and enjoyed the free concert. It's in a kind of beat up TKL case. Yours for $625.
Godin Radiator - I previously owned two of these guitars, one withthe black onyx face and, this one with the white face. Kind of a matched set. I sold the black on black one, and I now have for sale this white on black one. This is one cool Canadian! the chambered maple body makes for a relatively lightweight comfortable instrument. The short scale and the fast maple neck make for an instrument that is, again, comfortable and easy to play. The guitar is offered with either a maple fretboard or a rosewood fretboard; this one has the rosewood. The pickups are pretty hot Godin single coils and each pickup has it's own volume control. Really neat guitar. A new one is almost six hundred. Get this one for $350. Try it. You'l like it!
Fender Squier Strat American Flag Special- this is a guitar that I had modified to play once a year at a Fourth of July party. Kinda goes well with the Indiana Guitar Company Americana model. It is a Squier Strat with a changed out pickguard, new Fender Noiseless Pickups, all installed and set up by Dave Seuferling of Seuf's Guitars in Independence, Missouri. Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard. This is one sweet guitar. Serves it's purpose well, as it was just played recently on July 4th, this year (2019). With case- $400
